Ferries to and from Positano

About Positano

Located on the edges of the national park of Mons Lactarius on the Amalfi Coast. It is a stunning village with colourful houses built high into the hills. The town has narrow streets, which helps keep the town shaded and cooler.

You will have a choice of beaches to go to, including the Marina Grande beach, which is popular with the rich and famous and offers a variety of restaurants and hotels. For a quieter experience, head to Fornillo, Positano's other beach.

Positano is right at the front door of the beautiful national park of Mons Lactarius. This is a hikers paradise, offering the most extensive trails of the Apennine mountains and beautiful views!

Positano port facilities

The Positano port is small and located right next to the beach. Due to it's central location, you can easily walk from the town (or beach) and quickly hop on the ferry. Although there aren't many facilities at the port itself, it is only a short walk to cafes and restaurants.


Getting to Positano

Travelling by car to Positano is the easiest way of getting there. The SS163 road will take you straight there from Salerno. If you are travelling from somewhere else, then you may need to take the A3 to Salerno first. The road to Positano offers some beautiful views as the road stretches across the coastline all the way to Positano.
