About Tinos

Tinos is famous for the church of Panagia Evangelistria reputed for the miraculous icon of Virgin Mary that it holds. Every year in August, thousands of pilgrims pay a visit to Tinos especially to visit the church.

About 80 or so windmills, a 1000 artistic dove cottages and beautiful little villages and the tradition of marble carvings because of its rich resources of marble and granite makes Tinos a much more interesting place to visit apart from the scores of beautiful beaches on the island.

The village of Volax on the island of Tinos is located amidst some of the most stunning landscapes. It is surrounded by Pyrgos Mountains which are the most beautiful green marble mountains in Greece. All the villages in Tinos are connected with neighbouring villages by stone walkways and only separated by stone walls built around them.

About Rafina

The town of Rafina lies on the eastern coast of the southern Greek mainland, as is approximately 30km from Athens. Rafina is a traditional port town, with many bars and seafood restaurants. Rafina is a fairly small seaside town, with some beautiful attractions such as the small church of Aghios Nicolas.

The close proximity of Rafina to Athens allows visitors to experience the lively capital and all that it has to offer, from historical sites such as the world-famous Acropolis of Athens to the many cafés and bars of the Kolonaki district.
