Ferries to and from Venice

The Anek Lines fleet of 11 magnificent modern air-conditioned ships all offer a full range of facilities on board. You can choose from a range of inner or outer ship cabins with two, three or four beds and on Anek Lines Italy-Greece routes you can even choose a deluxe cabins featuring a sitting room and TV and Internet access.

Atlas Kompass operates two modern ships with outdoor decks, air-conditioned seating areas and a bar serving refreshments and snacks. Duty free shopping is available on board.

The Commodore Cruises ship, the Fast Motor Boat Dora has two floors of airline style seating, both fully air-conditioned to help you relax on your journey. The are two onboard bars, one inside and one outside on the sun deck.

Minoan Lines operates a modern, well-equipped fleet of ferries which offer passengers a wide range of facilities. On board you will find full and self service restaurants, internet access rooms and shops. On some ships you may also find a summer time swimming pool, bar, disco and even a gym.

Venezia Lines has a fleet of 3 high speed catamarans equipped with the latest technology of air cushions combining the advanced characteristics of catamarans and hovercrafts. This allows them to achieve higher speeds of up to 40 knots with remarkable comfort levels.

Please note that because of the continuing dangerous situation in Syria that the route of Venice - Tartous - Alexandria has been suspended for the time being. It is unknown when normal service will resume.

About Venice

Venice, in Northern Italy, is home to approximately 272,000 inhabitants, and is one of the most famous, and popular, tourist destinations in the world. Venice is made up of 118 small islands in the marshy Venetian Lagoon, which stretches between the Po and Piave rivers.

Venice is best known for its canals and waterways; which interlink the many small islands of Venice. However, there is more to Venice than water - Venice is home to some of the world's most beautiful and most-recognised buildings and architecture, such as St. Marks Basilica and the Torre dell'Orologio clock tower, which overlook St. Mark's Square.

Venice has also produced, and houses, some important art such as the Venetian paintings and sculptures that crowd the churches of Venice. Much of Venice's artwork can be seen in the many galleries in Venice, such as the enormous Palazzo Grassi and the Museo Correr, and is showcased each year in the Biennale di Venezia international festival.

Venice itself is one large tourist sight, one of the most breathtaking in the world. Visitors will enjoy simply admiring the views, and cruising along the Grand Canal discovering the beauty of this city.

Venice Ferry Port is well structured, modern and functional. It offers many facilities and services including an Information Point, Duty Free shopping, a Bar, Toilets, Public Phones and Luggage Storage.

Getting to Venice port

From the Highway A4 Milano - Trieste, take the exit Venezia-Mestre and follow signs for Tourist Port of Venice. Go over the Ponte della Libertà (Liberty Bridge) and turn right at the traffic light and soon you will see the entrance of Venice Ferry Port.

Venice Ferry Port can be easily reached from the Venice "Marco Polo" airport and the Mestre railway station by taxi, water taxi, water shuttle or bus.
